Steps for Installing Rolling Doors

There are 9 essential steps in the rolling door installation process.

1. Site Inspection

  • Set the position for the rolling door rotation.
  • Determine the location for the motor.

2. Measuring the Rolling Door Dimensions

After the site inspection, the technician will take measurements using the following formula:

Total Height = Height from the Ground to the Top of the Rotating Section × Total Width

3. Installing the Rolling Door Rails

Proper rail installation ensures smooth system operation. There are two methods:

  • Without using roller wheels.
  • Using roller wheels (requiring firm support for stability).

4. Installing the Metal Panel for the Motor

Motor mounting metal blocks come in various types. It is crucial to select a motor that is compatible with the door.

5. Pre-Installation Checks

  • Ensure dimensions and materials are correct.
  • Compare measurements with the original design documents.

6. Installing the Rotating Unit

  • The rotating unit size should match the door dimensions.
  • If size adjustments are needed, consult with the installation team.

7. Installing the Motor

  • Check the motor before installation.
  • Secure the motor chain tension properly.

8. Installing the Control System

  • Ensure the electrical system is properly organized.
  • Install a control system to prevent collision.

9. Installing the Rolling Door

  • Follow the designated installation position.
  • Installation steps may vary depending on the type of rolling door.

Requirements for Rolling Door Installation

1. Preparation of the Door and Materials

  • Choose a rolling door that meets the requirements.
  • Ensure the motor is of high quality.
  • The control system must be compatible with the motor.
  • The rails and rotating unit must be of the correct type.

2. Wall Preparation for Installation

  • Calculate the rolling door dimensions and adjust the walls accordingly.
  • Install the rails properly within the walls.
  • Set the rotating unit position (inside or outside).
  • Add protective materials for the rolling door.
